SDG-1 NO POVERTY

GOAL 1: NO POVERTY

Eliminating all forms of poverty remains one of humanity's biggest challenges. Although the number of people living in extreme poverty dropped from 1.9 billion in 1990 to 836 million in 2015, over 800 million people still live on less than $1.25 a day. Many lack access to essential needs like food, clean water, and sanitation. Disparities persist, with poverty concentrated in regions like South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, and factors like climate change and conflict intensifying this issue. The Sustainable Development Goals commit to ending all poverty by targeting the most vulnerable populations and improving access to essential resources.
